Brooke Christa Shields was born on May 31 in 1965. She began her career as a child model and received acclaim at the age of 12 for her lead role in Louis Malle's film Pretty Baby (1978). She continued modeling into her teenage years, and was praised for her role in the film of Louis Malle's Pretty Baby. Shields started acting again in the early 1990s, and appeared in minor role in movies. She also appeared on the NBC sitcoms Suddenly Susan (1996-202000), where she was nominated for two Golden Globes. Lipstick Jungle (2008-2009) was her second nomination. Shields was back on NBC in 2017 with the role of a regular Law & Order: Special Victims character from the 19th season of the show. Shields is the voice of Beverly Goodman on Adult Swim's animated series Mr. Pickles, and its spinoff Momma Named Me Sheriff. Brooke Christa Shields was a Manhattan, New York, native , born on May 31 in 1965. She is the daughter of Teri Shields, who was a actress and model, and Frank Shields, a businessman (1941-2003). Her mother was of English, German, Scotch-Irish and Welsh descent, while her father had English, French, Irish, and Italian ancestry.According to the work of William Addams Reitwiesner, Shields is a descendent of numerous noble families from Italy especially from Genoa as well as Rome. These are namely (in chronological order of descent from 1355 to 1965) the Gattilusi-Palaiologos-Savoy, Grimaldi, Imperiali, Carafa, Doria, Doria-Pamphili-Landi, Chigi-Albani, and Torlonia dynasties. Marina Torlonia di Civitella Cisi di Civitella was her paternal grandmother. She was the daughter of an American socialite as well as an Italian prince. Her uncle was Alessandro Torlonia from Italy, who was married to Infanta Beatriz of Spain. The family of Teri paid Frank an amount of money to terminate her pregnancy.
